I can send you a copy of the page from the Bentley manual.

I don’t like cutting into the harness right there behind the radio (access to wires and such)– it might be a better option to run directly to the door speaker.

Remember to reset the jumper to external speaker.

I think I would send your wire through the loom in the door jam…. It seems a little cleaner that way?

Soto, Andre'

Then remove the door panel and attach near the tweeter.

This way you can avoid the frequency splitter in between the midrange speaker and the tweeter… and just power the tweeter.

The tweeter requires very little power and you may get more volume that way.

Yeah . go thru the wire loom in the door jam. I would use something like a coat hanger to guide the wire thru...
Need a closer look to see if this is possible.
That's how I guided most of the wires in other locations.

Check this site, enter car type. There is a 5 spoke chrome and one with black spokes and chrome rim. Look pretty.

http://www.belletire.com/wheels/

Another possibility

http://www.wheelsandcaps.com/specials_packages.asp?id=3&special=BMW%20Specials

There is a pic with these wheels. Looks nice

http://www.buywheelstoday.com/products/?id=2649

Remind me what size and offsets again.

The last link has option for 3.33” lip and 2” lip

They are 1200 for set but if I can get 500-600 for mine and if these are easy to keep clean and shiny, it would be worth it.

Don’t forget to give some tips on getting wire to tweets.

They have to be staggered.. 8.5 9.5 or 8.5 10.. the offsets will be fine as long as u can sort by car. they should take care of that for  you.

it would be the most reliable finish though.. like u were suggesting.

Check out tire rack. You may cringe, but I am thinking of the following

Brenner BR01 series, either chrome or machined lip

Bonus is the big B in center hub.

Sport MK11, the gray.

Bonus is wont show brake dust.

I also like the Avarus AV5

Bonus, nice look and mix with chrome. Negative, little bolts to clean. But at least on black lip.

Other one I like is beyern type 5. Clean, chrome, and all smooth lines to allow easy clean.

For what I want, the wheels just need to not be UGLY. I think a lower quality wheel that is not glitzy but CLEAN will look nicer than a high quality wheel that is DIRTY.

Accepting that I may be a bit obsessed with clean wheels, including the inner rim part, maybe stepping down is not so bad.

I wont race, I will go fast, and I will take turns. I wont be beating them up.

Thoughts?

Mee too. Would be nice to get an idea of what they look like on an M3. You think they have any pics?

Look at the tire rack ones I mentioned last night

The door panel will be tough. I see that the tweeter is near the handle to open. Might be able to just pop that off and get to wires if I can fish it up without screwing up the power window.

Ought to have unit this week. Any chance we can work here? On call this weekend.

Honestly – none of these are something I would choose for you.

But – the Brenner bBR01 don’t seem too bad.

The beyern type 5 is similar and also – justifiable.

Both of these seem to suit your needs.

My thoughts –

For what I want, the wheels just need to not be UGLY. I think a lower quality wheel that is not glitzy but CLEAN will look nicer than a

High quality wheel that is DIRTY.

Wrong! – If I believed that – I would buy Hondas… but that’s just me.

And yes- I think you’re a bit obsessed with clean wheels.  But that’s what

makes each of us individuals… This is your car, not mine.

I think maybe it’s important for you to pick your poison here…

Q- are you thinking of purchasing right away? I’m curious when I can list your wheels.

Need help. Saw some pics with beyern style. The “convex” or out arching spokes do not look as good as more “concave” or flat types. Can you direct me to a site with pics of e46 and wheels?

I like the speedy wheel, the bremmer br01.

Any thoughts about silver  vs. c hrome?

Again, you can help me get style and quality, I will need to vet out for ease of clean. The less nooks and crannies the better.

Tried to look at wiring yesterday. Door panel will be tough. Got the wiring harness in door jam. There is connector. The car end has two sets of wires. I think it will be fine to go to radio harness. We should disconnect cpu unit from power until we get wiring attached. Then connect.

Ought to be fine. I will work on paralellity this week.

Almost baby time for you eh????

Please help with wheels. Consuming!

Need help. Saw some pics with beyern style. The “convex” or out arching spokes do not look as good as more “concave” or flat types.

I like your conclusion here for the wheels… I tend to agree.

Can you direct me to a site with pics of e46 and wheels?

What kind of wheels?….  I just mean you can go to hre.com, iforged.com, and fikse.com but they will only show pics of their wheels.  You can also try the bimmerforums.com – hidden in their threads are oodles of pics of all kinds of wheels. . . but not easy to surf through.

I like the speedy wheel, the bremmer br01.

Any thoughts about silver  vs. c hrome?

I prefer silver for everyday use… but chrome will stand out much more.  Chrome has a more resilient finish and a different “styling”  and therefore appeal vs. silver.

I don’t prefer this method.. cutting the harness there could be problematic long term.. it may be worth the risk long term though.

Please help with wheels. Consuming!

I would love to help.. but I would have just as hard a time buying you a new shirt for your birthday. How am I going to know what you like?

Generally speaking, I don’t prefer 5 spoke wheels… with some exceptions of course.

Which Breyton?  The vision only comes in a 20 from tirerack.

The Spirit comes in a black center… that could suit your black wheel urge.

You probably wouldn’t have to clean as much if the centers were black ey?

Remember 19”  staggered 8.5 10

We could powder coat your wheels black.?

Im out of the black thing. Accents yes, but too much black looks like spare tires. Too bad only 20 inch. I like the fat back stagger look. Guess breyton is a no if only 20". gotta keep lookn.
