Dear Partners,
Kalinaw!
The undersigned are pleased to inform you that the Government of the Philippines Peace Negotiating Panel, headed by the GPH Panel Chairman Dean Marvic Leonen, will visit Iligan City on September 12, 2012. They will conduct a dialogue-forum with multi-stakeholders from Iligan City and Lanao del Norte, providing updates on the ongoing GPH-MILF Peace Process. This Dialogue-Forum will be held at the CED Amphitheatre from 8:00AM to 12:00NN. Approximately 250 people from various sectors including media, academe, local government, community based leaders and civil society are being invited to take part in the said affair.
In this regard, may we invite you (or your representative) to participate in this important event which will represent the first visit of its kind by the GPH Peace Panel to Iligan City. There is no fee for the registration, snacks and forum kits, so please bear out your confirmations as early as possible since slots are limited.
We believe that this event is an excellent opportunity for invitees from Iligan City and Lanao del Norte to gain a deeper understanding of the on-going peace negotiations between the Government of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. We also believe that through this engagement, each one of us is given the opportunity to directly participate in the peace process by raising our questions and ventilating our hopes and concerns as stakeholders from various sectors of society.
