Please find attached the notes on the discussion by the

Preparation Committee of the MPP  on Sheridan's coming. 

just want to reiterate some points in there:

1. on the invitation of the Lanao del Norte Government to VSO

last year can we have a copy of the report of the visiting team?

If there is none, can you write an e-mail describing to us what

really happened. we really need that so as to erase the worry

and reservations.

2. Can VSO cover the expenses of the preparation  activities

on this?

Thanks Tina and to those who were present at the meeting. May I quickly feedback on the 2 points below.

 

1.       Is this related to Dominic Hannigan’s visit or is this about that separate meeting with Governor Dimaporo in Lanao with some VSO staff and MPP members? May I clarify what you mean by ‘worry’ and ‘reservations’ below? And in your attachment of the minutes of meeting, it also says ‘doubts’ and ‘worries’. Can you please shed light on this? I have earlier explained to Adona of RDRRAC that there was no assurance or guarantee or whatsoever of any kind or any form discussed or agreed between Dominic and the Governor. Attached is the report by Ryan Rosauro who captured comprehensively Dominic’s trip in Mindanao.

 

If this was about that separate meeting, the feedback I got from Josephine (who at that time joined and represented VSO) was that the proposal development did not pursue because of the lack of buy-in from the Province after that meeting. This is why we wanted to engage Allan Ponce or popularly known to us as ‘Ato’. I have copied Judah here to elaborate. Again, I have explained this to Adona as I assumed she would share this to the rest of the Convenors. I hope this explains.

 

2.       Early on when we broached the idea of Peter Sheridan, I asked for a detailed budget so we used this as a reference. I think it was Tina who submitted this to us. Please check previous minutes of meeting. But the answer is yes subject to the activities we would have discussed later on.
