Hi guys, 

Hope all is going well. I just want to take this opportunity to invite all MPP students to come to the China Night. It would be so much fun. If you are free this Saturday night, you are welcome to join us! ;) I will be selling tickets on Wednesday noon in one of the canteens. So if you are interested, you can come and ask for more information.

Here is the introduction of China Night. Attached is the poster. 

China Night 2013 is around the corner! The Chinese Association of Oregon State University is busy organizing this annual event in order to welcome the Chinese New Year. The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important traditional festival in China. It falls on the first day of the first lunar month according to the Chinese lunar calendar and it is the time for family and communities to come together in celebration. During the festival, cultural activities include: lighting fireworks, dragon dancing and lion dancing in cities and towns throughout China.  A zodiac sign represents each year of the Chinese calendar and 2013 is the year of the Snake. In Chinese culture, the snake symbolizes gracious morality, great wisdom and discretion.

China Night 2013 will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013 in LaSells Stewart Center at Oregon State University.  The program will begin with dinner service at 5:45pm, followed by the show from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Tickets are available at the Student Events & Activity Center in room 103 of the Memorial Union or online at https://conferences.bus.oregonstate.edu/Conference/china-night/registration.  Tickets costs for in person purchases are $8.50 cash or $9.00 for credits card. The online purchase cost is $9.75.
