I'm having the same problem.  Have you discovered a solution for this?

Hi Andrew,

Could you send a copy of the whole output file through?  If its private you can pm me.

Cheers,

Josh

Here you go.  It's a CFA from a larger simulation.  I wonder if it's a problem because the parameter covariances are on the small side.

So I was messing around with this problem some more, and the tech3 covariance matrix is available when adding 'TECH3 IS document.txt;' to the SAVEDATA command line.  Then using model$results$tech3$paramCov.savedata the full covariance matrix is available, while model$results$tech3$paramCov is filled with NAs.

Hi Andrew and Tait,

Sorry for the long delay in looking into this. It turns out that the routine for reading those matrix sections from Mplus output was not handling the Fortran-style scientific notation (e.g., 1.225D-03) where the D is similar to the usual e in scientific notation, but explicitly denotes a double-formatted number. Anyhow, it's a Fortranism that I had seen, but hadn't thought about in text file parsing. I changed the routine so that any matrix-style output section now supports this D notation.

I have committed the update to Github, so you can install the development version to get the fix.

Best,
Michael
