Hello all,
I have a client with an old, dated website, including 6 domain names registered, under GoDaddy. I've rebuilt their website in new hosting (GreenGeeks). To activate the site, and continue to work on it until I'm ready to publish it under the main .com domain name, can I point one of the domain names to the new site? The domains are similar: company.com, company.org, company.biz, company.info etc.
Is there any danger to pointing the company.org to the new hosting now, and then pointing the rest of the domains once it's fully ready?
Thank you!

If company.org is currently forwarded to company.com, you wouldn't want to change company.org to the new server. It would be confusing to users who use company.org and expect to end up at the current (old) website.

In such a case, an alternative would be to create a hostname like new.company.com and point that to the new hosting service. Once, the new site is ready, then the existing records for the old site could all be pointed to the new server.
