A nonprofit site I'm working on wants to be able to share stories and a picture from visitors. I looked at simply having a visitor register and setting the default role to Contributor but then you have to navigate the WordPress dashboard area.

It looks like Gravity Forms has the capability to have visitors input a  post and even an image from a form on the site and then have the submission held for approval. Has anyone tried this?

Any other easy ways to get this done?

Yep I have done this with gravity forms. It works great. I had a page with posts with the category of "testimonials" and at the bottom of that page is the form to share yours. It is set to hold them as a draft until the admin approves them. Once the admin approves it, it appears there in with all the others. Pretty slick.

I have. It works pretty slick.

You can have the post publish live, OR held in draft mode. Images work best if you have Featured image support in your theme, but it otherwise just throws the image into the gallery for that post.

Thanks Barbara and Carl! It sounds exactly like what I'm looking for.

I guess it's time to buy Gravity Forms.
