Hello.
After many years of web development, I'm actually only now needing to add a website translation option for a client's website.
Here's the setup I inherited: WordPress using the Elementor page builder (with the Hello theme). It has a couple of custom taxonomies and one custom post type (set up with Advanced Custom Fields), and several custom fields. It's a 40-page site set up with one landing page and 2 templates... most of the content is added through custom fields via the CPT.
The client wants to add their own translations, so no automated translations. It needs to be easy for the client to add translations to whatever content is in Elementor, as well as ACF (ideally when a new custom post is added).
My research shows the WMPL, Polylang, TranslatePress, and WeGlot are probably the ones I should focus on looking at, but I'd like your personal recommendations based on any experience you have. Client is a nonprofit with a small budget to pay for a plugin, if necessary.
Thank you for your thoughts and tips.
