CEPT University, Ahmedabad has an ongoing action research programme of performance assessment system (PAS) for urban water and sanitation. It has developed appropriate tools and methods to measure, monitor and improve delivery of urban water and sanitation services in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. The framework is now being used in other states.
There are various Research Associate positions available at Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Research Associates are expected to support programme activities related to urban sanitation, capacity building, and performance assessment at state and local levels. They will have an opportunity to contribute to measurement of qualitative and quantitative data, data analysis, preparation of plans, reports and policy papers, development of tools, and dissemination of project findings.
In Maharashtra, there is additional focus on urban sanitation that includes work at state level for Swachh Maharashtra Abhiyan and support to urban local governments for implementation of city sanitation activities. Some of these activities will also include positions in specific cities where support is being provided. For these, candidates with knowledge of Marathi language will get preference.
We are looking for persons at both entry level and those with experience of about 3 to 5 years. Masters level degree in a related disciple (such as planning, architecture or engineering) is required. Salary/compensation will be commensurate with qualification/ experience.
