Can you do gcc -v and provide some details of your compiler. Also, can you provide the details in config.log which should tell us what is actually happening.

Bill.

3rd straight day at trying to install mpir, problems still continue.

When I run configure, I get `can't find a suitable compiler`.

I am using Windows7, and my mingw compiler is in C:\MinGW.
My machine is 64 bit, but everything I use is 32 bit.

Is it possible for me to have mpir installed?
Does anyone here have a successful installation implementation of mingw + mpir?

Also, if it matters, I am using code::blocks, not msvc.

You appear to have forgotten to attach the compiler output (at least I don't see anything) and we really need config.log. If none is created, your MinGW is broken and this is nothing to do with MPR.

I don't know where config.log is, but running configure causes this file to be created called config.guess.c.

config.log is in the directory that you run configure in. If it isn't there I suggest installing the latest MinGW, running it as administrator and turning off any antivirus software that may be interfering.

Have you installed any other software using autotools in the past?

Bill.

I found 2 logs in the log folder. Is that what was required?
