Government of Mexico Scholarships for Master's or Doctoral Studies in Science and Engineering

The Organization of American States (OAS), the Mexican National Science and Technology Council (CONACYT) and the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), have  announced the scholarships CONACYT-OAS 2013. The scholarships come from these institutions’ interest in contributing to the improvement of scientific and technological capacities, as well as the mobility of graduate students in the region.

The Program CONACYT-OEA offers 600 scholarships to citizens of the Americas for master's or doctoral studies in science and engineering in Mexico, of which 100 will be earmarked for students from Central America and the Caribbean.

Candidates must submit applications for admission directly to participating universities in Mexico, who will then postulate candidates to the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) of Mexico. The deadline for submitting the application is November 25, 2013.

Information on the call, list of programmes and universities can be obtained from http://www.oas.org/en/scholarships/conacyt.asp or by contacting the Mexican Embassy’s Cooperation Department at rmen...@cwjamaica.com or by phone 929-8862 / 926 – 4242.
