Hi Senthil, 

I hope you are well. I was telling you about a potential opening that we might have in the KAP2 (Karnataka Anemia Project) project, because I think we will need one more coordinator for the field. This person will be working alongside me in the KAP2 project, in an equal position.

I am writing to you about the requirements , please circulate and see if there are any interested candidates in your knowledge.  


Designation : Project Coordinator, Hematology Research Division, St. John's Research Institute, Bangalore

Qualification : 
1.Masters Degree in Public Health , preferably with a background in medicine (M.B.B.S/BHMS/BAMS/BPT). 
2.Candidates with a M.B.B.S/BHMS/BAMS/BPT background can also be considered, based on experience and skills.

Duration of the appointment : 1 year, with potential for extension

Remuneration : Rs. 25,000 - Rs. 30,000/- consolidated pay (negotiable based on candidate profile) 

Job Profile: 
1. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the conduct of a field-based cluster randomised controlled trial and the position will be based in St. John's Research Institute, Bangalore 
2. The job will involve on-site supervision and monitoring of the data collection in the study field which is based in Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka. This will involve being based in Chamarajangar district for 3-4 days a week. Travel and accomodation charges will be borne by the project. 
3. The selected candidate must be willing to be a part of a multi-disciplinary academic research group environment and be a team player with good-interpersonal skills. 
4. There is potential for academic advancement , provided the candidate exhibits good research potential. 
5. Computer-literacy and good communication skills are desirable. Fluency in local language (Kannada) is an added advantage.
