Hello folks!

It's been a year since MPF 0.80 and GMC entered the world, and it's about time to make them the official release of MPF. This won't change much for you except that you won't need to include --pre when using pip install.

Before the release though, I wanted to check in with folks who are on 0.80 and see how it's going. Anything missing from 0.57 or behaving weird? Any annoying workarounds you've been doing that ought to be corrected?

I think mpf imc (the slide builder/test) is broken in 0.57, last version that worked for me was 0.56.2.

Unfortunately there are no test runners for iMC and very few people use it, so breakages are hard to detect. It's based on Kivy, so it is also deprecated along with the old MPF-MC and won't get any updates or fixes.

The good news is that MPF 0.80 and GMC are built in Godot, which is a fully-visual editor so you can see all your slides and widgets in realtime as you make them!

Hey Anthony,

We've been using MPF 0.80 GMC for 6+ months  now, and it's working fine ! A few things we encountered lately in our test process :
Anyway, I think you can go for a release right now, it's already awesome !

Thanks for all the work.

Samuel
