I'm running a RPi 3 as my controller, so I don't have a screen or a keyboard and I ssh into it via ethernet.
It would be helpful to be able to specify a "headless" state so I can use my ssh remote session as the keyboard input.

Easiest way would be to just attach a keyboard ;-). You can also telnet into mpf and use bcp to talk to MPF. Feel free to develop a remove keyboard client for that. Should be pretty straight forward.
