Update from 0.54 to 0.56 question

Hi All,

It's been a while since I worked on my machine. but started to work on it again about two months ago. And now that I have cleaned up all my code in YAML and Python, I want to update to from 0.54 to 0.56.

My question:
Was there any major change to MPF I should know about before updating? and can it still be updated via pip? 

on the hardware side of things. Is the FAST Nano Controller still supported?

should be ok unless you are using p3_roc boards like me as the used python version doesn't have drivers.
