Anyone know the source problem behind this error?

Pinball.mpf_mc.mpfmc.core.audio.audio_interface.AudioException: Could not load sound file /Users/briancox/Dropbox (TML Team)/MPF_games/SPRE/sounds/sfx/SoundLowerPFTarget/MetalChunkerGunSingleShot001.wav due to an error: b'Unknown 24-bit PCM data format'

There used to be a 16-bit WAV limitation. Has that file worked before? If it's new, try saving it 16-bit and see what happens.

Currently all audio source files must be 16-bit.  I need to put that in the docs...

Ok, so second question...

Anyone know a good application to batch convert a bunch of sound files from 24-bit down to 16-bit?

Thanks!

It was a complicated process, but I was able to use iTunes to convert the 24-bit WAV files that you typically get in a sound pack, down to 16-bit required by the MPF.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

audacity can do that in batch. It basically allows you to batch almost all operations.
