After 15 months, friend & I had our first game of 8 Ball!!
Could not have done it without all the help this board provided !
Still have a few bugs with a couple rollover switches, box is not painted yet and the glass not installed but it played like a real pinball game!
We've managed to incorporate a changeable playfield system that will allow us to swap out playfields in less then 3 minutes. Going to take a break and enjoy this game for a while and then start on the second of the 3 swappable playfields we have planned, Joker Poker.

I tried attaching a short vid (7MB) but says my post is "too long"?

Congrats! Can we get a photo? You could post the video to Youtube or similar and post the link here.

The game looks great!  Fun theme, too!  I completely understand how exciting that first game can be

thank you!
still a few bugs but it was a 15 month grind for sure.
first my part in the programming then friends part with all the physical parts.
both of us at some point, several times, were ready to pack it in.
without a few people on this board i don’t think we would have reached the finish line

that's a nice project, restoring some old pinball machine using MPF is not very common.
Do you have a gameplay video of it ?

I would like to but when I try to post videos I get an error that the file size is too long.
I don't have a You Tube channel of anything else.
If you have any ideas on how, let me know

i was just seeing if the link worked.
i’ll upload a longer one.
still working out a few mechanical kinks like finicky rollovers, pop covers coming off etc…
so we have not put the glass in place yet.

the concept of the machine is that the playfields
can be quickly swapped so the 1 cabinet can play multiple games.
this is just the first playfield of 3 we are trying to do.
i’ll try and make a better video that shows this and upload it.

for a couple of old guys, it has been a real grind to get to this point but have learned a lot.
mostly with the mpf website and a few people on this to like Cobra18t, arum, laurent and a few others
who have continually stepped up and gotten us past numerous roadblocks.
those people are truly impressive with their knowledge base on this stuff.
it’s actually embarrassing for me sometimes how quickly they can solve something that we’ve struggled weeks on
can i ask what brings you here?
have you built a machine? trying to build one?

Ok, here's another link to a longer video.
The glass is still out while we fine tune some stuff  (like the pop bumper caps that are missing!)

I'll make another one on how we switch the playfields
