Hi All, I am running MPF 0.57.4 with MC, I would like to play some video's in the game but have not found a way to either set the volume for all video playback in sound config or be able to set the volume for each clip to the system volume level so it is all consistant. I presume this feature was never added? Does anyone have any idea's on a work around other than just trying to play the video and audio seperately and trying to sync the two? Much appreciated! Thank You.

The video widget has a volume property.  Decimal value between 0 and 1.

Hi, Thanks but I have seen the volume feature, but that won't work in this case, as the volume of the video needs to match the master game volume, otherwise you could have the game turned down and the video would be another volume. I presume that unlike the SFX, MUSIC, VOICE the video volume was never integrated into mpf. Just hoping there might have been a workaround that an MPF expert/creator  might know.

I wonder if this issue have been sorted in the new version with godot?

Thanks all!

I have several videos in The Greatest Showman.  This is how they are configured as slides.  Then they are used in slide shows  with event_player.  I just listen to how they sound as I play through the game and adjust the sound level accordingly.  They are not all at the same level.  I also included how to configure the videos in that section as well.  Hope this helps!  Lisa Sue

Is there a reason you want to control volume that way?

My games are at full output all the time, I adjust the volume at the amplifier which is accessible from the coin door.

By controlling them this way, they all sound the same.  In their raw states, some were louder than others, so it sounded different, uneven.  This way I could have the game at the same level throughout.  I can still adjust the overall volume with the amplifier.

Hi, My amplifier is locked away in the headbox, Like most modern pinball games, I currently use the coin door buttons to digitally adjust the overall volume up and down (which also displays the volume level). This has been great, right up until I wanted to incorporate video's.

Question was directed towards the OP wanting to use MPF's volume control.
