New company law to change CSR landscape - Livemint

To all my classmates who like me slept through the CSR lectures :-)

It formally becomes a part of the balance sheet and some elite consulting firms may fatten consulting salaries for this.

Any company with Net Worth > 500Cr , Turnover > 1000 Cr or Net Profit > 5 Cr has to allocate 2% of PAT to CSR.

Looks like the Professor was right !!!!
