I receive the following:

LINUX: 'ioctl' fd=1, typ=0x54(T), num=0x9 not implemented

When trying to run Wordperfect 8 for Linux on FreeBSD 2.1.7 RELEASE

Does Wordperfect 8 work? Is there something I can do?

Can't speak from personal experience, but have seen a reference to someone
trying it successfully. They were however using either 2.2.8R or 3.0R,
both of which have considerably more uptodate linuxulators than 2.1.7.

I would suggest that an upgrade to 2.2.8 would be in order (2.2.8 is
currently the "stable" release - 3.0R is still for early adopters).
