Dear MPAS-Atmosphere Community:

We're pleased to announce that MPAS version 8.3.1 was released on 17 June 2025. This bugfix release corrects two issues in MPAS v8.3. A description of the changes in this release may be found through the GitHub release page for MPAS v8.3.1 (https://github.com/MPAS-Dev/MPAS-Model/releases/tag/v8.3.1).
