Hi,

I am using stand-alone program gpmetis. The output file is graphfile.part.nparts.

How can I rename the output file?

I want to run gpmetis with different seed values. But I can only get one output file. The output files with different seed values have the same names, so they're overwritten.

Thanks,
Jianqiao Huang

As far as I'm aware, there is no option with gpmetis to specify the output filename. One option might be to create a symbolic link from the input graph.info file to, e.g., seed001.graph.info, seed002.graph.info, etc. Running gpmetis on these symbolic links would result in files with unique output names like seed001.graph.info.part.256, seed002.graph.info.part.256, etc.

Note that support for MPAS-Atmosphere has transitioned from this Google Groups forum to a forum hosted by NCAR's MMM lab at http://forum.mmm.ucar.edu/. Please post any future inquiries to the MMM-hosted forum.

Cheers,
Michael
