S/he must be savvy with numbers (for this person will be managing both the very detailed team budget and building revenue models, tracking fundraising projections, liaising on a daily basis with the Finance team, etc.), communicate well, like managing complex projects and processes, be able to shift between the details and big picture, and enjoy keeping things organized. They will also need to toggle back and forth between various content areas--in a given day, s/he will likely switch between talking expenses/budget, marketing and communications initiatives, team management, and revenue projections and models. S/he will also need to understand and help shape fundraising strategies for our individual giving, foundation relations, and public funding arms.
The ideal candidate will need to come in with at least four or more years of work experience and should have experience that speaks to the job requirements. Nonprofit experience preferred, but if they've got relevant private sector experience, we'll consider those as well! I should add that the salary and benefits are excellent for the area and sector and Rare cares deeply about their talent and organizational culture.
