Salsa Masala @ MicroSessions, LIC - Saturday, June 9th and other news

Dearest friends, 

We're very excited to be playing a very interesting show, called "Microsessions," at Spaceworks in Long Island City on Saturday, June 9th. 

Microsessions is a mini-festival, or "speed-dating for music." You'll be in one of four audience groups that rotate through four rooms, listening to 15-minute sets by each of four acts along the way. We’ll close with a longer set (20 to 30 minutes) where you can listen to whomever you'd like.

Some other exciting news on the horizon...

• 2018: We were recently awarded an Artist Commissioning Program Award by the Queens Council on the Arts to bring our music to the next level! They've connected us with a handful of opportunities (see below!) including this Microsessions show. 

• July 9th: We'll be playing a double bill with Rini at DROM NYC on July 9th! Rini's recorded with AR Rehman and is a phenomenal carnatic violinist, vocalist, and composer. 

• September 15th: The original inspiration for Salsa Masala, a Jackson Heights Block Party, will be coming to life! On September 15th, in partnership with the Queens Council on the Arts and the 82nd Street Partnership, we'll be bringing our music to the streets of Queens, at the literal intersection of Indian and Latin music and communities! This event is totally free, open to all ages, and will feature some of the best, multi-cultural food vendors in the borough---to say nothing of some of the best musicians :)

• Fall 2018: With the support of the QCA grant, we've been in the studio, recording an album! We've been laying down the tracks over the last few months, and it should be out this coming Fall! Stay tuned...!
