Dear Comrades,

I hope all of you are well and have fully relaxed and ready for the next phase of your MPA program (research project paper). I’m aware that most of you have been anxious to get this process going. I’m also aware that some of you have been working on your proposals albeit lack of supervisors. I’m equally aware that there are those of you who have not even started this exercise. Notwithstanding your current status in this exercise, please let’s agree to kick start it as a team. My colleagues and myself are very much ready to see you through. For this to happen, please do the following;

·         Do a concept note of no more than two pages stating clearly what you want to write about (I know some of you have it already)

·         Do a letter addressed to the Chairman Dept. of Political Science & Public Admin, UON requesting for a supervisor ( in this letter, clearly identify your topic and express your interest to be supervised by so and so). Please CC me in the letter and drop me a copy. All these letter and a copy of the concept note should be forward to Dr. Richard Bosire who is the Chairman of the post graduate studied in the Dept.

 

Upon receiving the letter we’ll assign you a supervisor. For purposes of moving forward as a team, I want to allow exactly four weeks to enable all of us develop a concept note and do the letter. I expect all of you to comply by the 3^rd of February, 2014. A week after this date, we’ll allocate supervisors. On proposal defenses, we expect to start them by early-Mid March, 2014. Please mark your calendar that completed Research Project Paper defenses will not go past June, 2014. Kindly oblige and avoid the last minute rush.
