How to mix .wav audio file to .mp4 video file?

Hi everybody,

I want to mix .wav audio file to .mp4 video file, output is only mp4 file contain audio and video. Possible to do this using mp4parser?

Hi Ngoc,

 

you cannot directly put WAV files into MP4 container. A comparable format/codec for lossless audio is MPEG 4 ALS is specified in ISO/IEC 14496-3. Unfortunately the mp4parser cannot convert WAV (uncompressed) to MPEG 4 ALS (compressed but lossless). If you’d manage to create a converter from WAV to ALS I would be happy to implement the muxer for that format.

I don’t know of any java library (hey c’mon! read spec! start an implementation on github. It shouldn’t be too hard ) but ffmpeg will do the job (don’t ask me for the commandline)

.wav to mp4 is very straight forward and there are multiple libraries etc you can use like ffmpeg. But you can implement yours by reading specs and i remember their are some java libs too which are open source and convert PCM 16 bit audio to mp4 format.
