Good Day,

Mixpanel JavaScript Library v2.5.0 is now available here: https://github.com/mixpanel/mixpanel-js/releases/tag/v2.5.0

This release adds the option to use browser localStorage instead of cookies as a persistent store for user data.  To enable the localStorage option, initialize the Mixpanel library and specify in the configuration object that persistence is localStorage.

Example: mixpanel.init(TOKEN, {persistence: 'localStorage'});

If you have any questions or experience any difficulties, please email sup...@mixpanel.com to speak to someone smart, quickly.

One additional note - the localStorage option will automatically transfer existing data from the Mixpanel cookie and remove that cookie.  If you have a server-side implementation that parses information from the Mixpanel cookie, you'll need to adjust accordingly.

Cheers.
