As announced in a recent blog post, we are adding two new datacenters to our api.mixpanel.com endpoint. This will provide improved latency for clients sending data to Mixpanel outside of the United States.

As a result, DNS lookups for api.mixpanel.com now could resolve to IPs in any of the following blocks:

If you are sending data from your servers to our data insertion endpoints, and maintain outbound firewall rules, please update them appropriately. Additionally, from time to time there may be temporary planned outages at specific datacenters. When these occur, we will preemptively update our DNS entries to remove that datacenter from the pool. This will go unnoticed by most customers, but if you are sending requests to a static list of IPs, those requests will most likely fail during the outage. To avoid this, always use DNS to send track requests.

Thank you and, as always, and contact sup...@mixpanel.com with any questions.

Best,
 Geddes
