Udacity
offers free online courses from top university and industry instructors.
Udacity shares inspiring stories of learners, from Bejing
to Hamburg, putting their new knowledge to work and accomplishing great
things. Udacity has humbly requested help in translating their top quality
free courses into as many languages as possible, in order to make higher
education more accessible around the globe.

Caption for Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Users
Amara, with the help of some amazing volunteers,
has now launched two teams focused on captioning for Deaf and hard of
hearing people around the world. The Captions
Requested and Music
Captioning teams both invite Deaf and hard of hearing users to request
captions for videos they’d like to watch. Join the teams and help
caption or send us your captioning requests on the deaf-hoh
discussion list.

Amara is now offering tools & services for
organizations that need subtitles. Some organizations, like TED, PBS
NewsHour and Twitter use Amara to build subtitling communities
– others are accessing services, such as paid captions. These
offerings help make Amara a sustainable non-profit!
