I failed to find any related documentation to state this on https://moztrap.readthedocs.org.

If there is, can you direct me to the link?

Hi Cathy,

I have not yet tried installing MozTrap on Redhat, though I don't see why it wouldn't work.  Sorry there's no information on this.  I would say follow the same installation procedures in the docs, and if you run into specific problems, perhaps I can help you through them.

Thanks,
-Cam

Hi Cam,

I've come across below issues when installing Moztrap on it
1. Clone/Delete artifacts does not work
As I click "clone" or "delete" on cases, products, suite,  versions, tags, etc, it's just showing "loading..." for ever and no response. I use CPU profiling record and found that the ajax call was not sent out at all.

2. The same issue for activating a user from manage/users page

Help is really needed for this! Any clue that I can give more information about this?

Hi Cathy-- I can't say I know for sure why that's happening.  But Both those actions use JavaScript to work.  I suppose it is possible that we have some javascript that works in Firefox, but not in another browser.  Have you tried with with Firefox to see if it does the same thing?

Hi Cam,

Are you saying that you recommend using Firefox other than Chrome for Moztrap? I switch to branch 1.4.7 and then this issue disappeared and then I switched back to master it's still good. Looks a workaround to make it work. But it's still randomly happening. And the http request is not sent out at all in the case which is really hard to debug.

Thanks,
Cathy

Hi Cathy—  Full disclosure: I work for Mozilla and am quite a fan of Firefox.  :)  That being said, yes, I would expect to get the best results from Firefox.  For one thing, we do most of our testing for MozTrap on Firefox, as you might imagine.  Nothing against Chrome at all.  But MozTrap is a tool built by us and used internally and everybody at Mozilla uses Firefox.  Try using the Firebug add-on with Firefox and it will tell you when there was an error with an Ajax call and what it was.  That will help us track this down.
