can not connect to mozrepl

hi everyone,
maybe somone can help me about mozrepl
i installed mozrepl and started it, but i can't connect and can not
use settings in the add-ons window. i can't push the button.
i use windows 7 and firefox 3.5.3.
please help

Simon,
there's no settings window, that's why you can't push the button. You
just need to start MozRepl from the Tools menu and after that use
putty or similar to connect to localhost, port 4242.

Putty tries to connect, but closes the window immediately. It seems
like mozrepl didn't start.
I tried to connect from an linux computer with ssh, but there is the
same problem.

Use putty in telnet mode, not ssh. MozRepl isn't _that_ sophisticated. :)

ok, I found the problem. it's always the same: the windows firewall.
at the first install of mozrepl there was no question from the
firewall and so it blocked mozrepl automatically. at the second try
the question came.
