...but were afraid to ask.

Jbuck has bravely volunteered to demo some useful Bugzilla tips and tricks in tomorrow's Webmaker call.

I know many of you have questions about how to use Bugzilla more effectively.
I thought maybe we could collect questions together in tomorrow's etherpad.

Can't promise that we'll get them all answered --
but we can at least start collecting them, and sharing some early answers.

This will help MOOC folks a lot. Thanks so much.
At somepoint will this all be compiled as an FAQ -ish resource we can
point people to?

Agreed, we need this rolled up into a FAQ or blog post...

Just as an FIY, there are a few of these already:

http://www.thecssdiv.co.uk/2013/03/writing-a-good-bug/
http://blog.johnath.com/2010/02/04/bugzilla-for-humans/

Jbuck has a few new tricks that are really helpful - including making it easier on the eyes, which is like a 30% improvement to my life.

This video sounds like a perfect candidate for Dia Bondi's Capture Mozilla knowledge sharing project:

Hi,

Since we already have a discussion about Bugzilla tomorrow, I think a
worthy mention here would be the awesome Bugs Ahoy! by Josh Mathews:

And you can earn a Capture Mozilla badge if you do this…

Why does webmaker now show up in that Bugs Ahoy checklist?

Even I just noticed that after sending out the link. I will try to contact
Josh about this and see that Webmaker gets added to the list! :-)

Hi,

Webmaker Component has now been added to Bugs Ahoy!
https://github.com/jdm/bugsahoy/issues/50

All we need now are some mentored bugs for volunteers to get started with.
Anyone up for that? All that is needed to be done now is identifying some
simple bugs as good starting points for somebody who would like to
contribute with the code as well, and someone willing to serve as a mentor.

Regards,
Sayak

I don't see Hackasaurus listed at our event we found website where it
didn't work, and someone had a fun question: "how can I make my hacked
version of a webpage always load instead of the real one"?

Where should I file these. thx

Hi,
I don't think we can give that feature to a website, but that could work
with editing hosts file (it's a DIY kind of approach). Here is an article
showing how to do that on popular operating systems.
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/27350/beginner-geek-how-to-edit-your-hosts-file/

Cheers,
Alex
