Hey folks, GVPL followed back up with me again looking for summer
programming. They are a great potential partner and it's been my failing
for not taking them up on this sooner.

Is anyone interested in partnering to put on a session there? I would be
happy to do another hackjam, either xray googles style or popcorn, but
I'm also really interested in exploring a non-fear-mongering "security
and privacy" for early age teens session (say 11-15yrs range). Does
anyone know of good existing webmaker curriculum we could use? I would
love to do something with Lightbeam for instance.

Let me know. Would love to get back to them next week with one or two
offerings if there was interest in doing something. Think it is a good
relationship to foster.

Cheers, Scott Leslie

Hi Scott,

I'm in to help - I love: 'non-fear-mongering approach to teaching
security and privacy.'

We can leverage this Hacktivity Kit we made for mozfest in that spirit:
https://laura.makes.org/thimble/remix-for-cybersafety , or add to it.

Hi everyone, I would also be interested in helping out.

I am new to this list. I met Emma Irwin at the Open Data Summit last month and offered to
get involved.

While I am fairly computer literate and have done things like build my own computers, I am
new to the Mozilla world and haven't yet used the applications at
https://laura.makes.org/thimble/remix-for-cybersafety, for instance, but I am confident of
my ability to pick up the basics.

Thanks,

Awesome to see the interest. I will let GVPL know that we are interested
in doing something, and get an etherpad going to start planning dates
etc. Will follow up shortly with that. Thanks, Scott
