Firefox OS Webmaker Event (August)

Hi everyone,

I've been talking to Alana and Stephen from Saanich (District of Saanich
Youth Services), about running an Webmaker event in August. The focus
would be making Firefox OS Apps <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefox_OS>,
in the Webmaker style of learning by making/remixing.

We have the contribution of Saanich interns to help organize(yay!), and
space if we need it - but mostly we need to connect with youth
organizations (age focus 13 yrs of age or older ( unless previous coding
experience), OR someone who has the energy to do community outreach. We
know there are lots of kids who would love a workshop like this, its free -
so we know there are lots of parents who wold love to drop their kids off
as well :) .

Historically speaking - connecting our events with youth has been the most
work - please let us know (respond to this list or me directly) if you can
help with connections.
