Hi All,
Not attending but want to contribute resources? Please do! We're looking
for projects/ideas that are particularly relevant to librarians and other
information professionals.

For those who are attending BCLA (
http://bclaconnect.ca/2014-conference/ )
in April, we would love for you to join the webmaker session as a mentor!
Dethe and I will be doing a short presentation on maker education including
mozilla and other local initiatives, and talking about how libraries can
get involved. We will then be hosting a Webmaker party!
Never been a mentor? Don't fret! All you need is some knowledge of HTML/CSS
(for thimble/goggles) or video editing (for popcorn). Though, you will want
to familiarize yourself at least a little on one or more of the tools
https://webmaker.org/en-US/tools
Our session is already full at 60 people, so we're looking to have about 10
webmaker mentors on hand.
You don't need to be signed up for the session (if you're not, it might
standing room only during the session) but you do need to be registered for
the conference.
Please let me know if you'd like to be a mentor and I'll add you to the
list!
Thanks,
Cynthia "Arty" Ng
