Dear Mozilla Devs,

I would like to know if it's possible to edit HTMLs directly into the
Firefox debugger (offline, locally).

Most of the solutions that I saw online point me to the use of "Add
Ons" such as Firebug.

But I just need something very basic such as a plain text editor. Is
it possible to unlock the debugger to do such task?

Thank you very much for your time,

Ortiz

Well if you just want to edit a web page via source code. You can use
Firefox's own developer toolbox for that purpose. Just right click on
the element you want to edit and press "Inspect Element(O)". And it
will open up a debugger very similar to Firebug. Where you can edit the
HTML and other contents of the page.

Hello Karanjai!

Thank you for your reply.

But I guess I didn't make myself clear. I'm already accessing the
Firefox debbuger (v. 37.0.1) I can see the .html text but when I try
to click it, it's locked, It's not possible to edit anything. I
already tried editing by pausing the HTML too.

Do you know if it's possible to unlock the HTML text inside the debugger?

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 BTW.

Well I haven't actually encountered a scenario where a HTML file can be
locked from debugger! Even if some other javascript file is locking it
it still should be possible to enable it by stopping that javascript
execution?
