Hi Team,
If you don't care about provisioning errors in Taskcluster on EC2
instances, you can safely ignore the rest of this email now.
This email is to let you know that we've deployed a change to our EC2
Manager which will allow the Taskcluster UI to show error messages. We've
previously hidden these error messages but after a recent review have
decided that we should be safe to make them viewable. These errors will be
viewable here:
https://tools.taskcluster.net/aws-provisioner/recent-errors
https://tools.taskcluster.net/aws-provisioner/gecko-1-b-linux/errors (sub
in the worker type you care about)
These errors are really helpful when trying to figure out what's wrong with
a worker type. Previously the field was hardcoded to "----- HIDDEN
-----". Now, we will display the full EC2 generated error message which
includes debugging information where we've determined it's appropriate. I
wanted to thank AJ for his help in reviewing the error messages.
Please let me know if you have any questions about these messages.
John
