Hi

When I open several windows (Win7, 64) TB windows stays on top and does
not get behind another window, I have to make it small on the taskbar
to see the other windows.
Where can I change that behaviour ?

TIA

I am also posting this message from Windows 7 Professional and you can
just click on the taskbar on any application shown to make it go on
top. for example, I have FF, TB, and Notepad open they are all shown in
the taskbar. To make any application active, I simply click on the icon
shown in the taskbar and it goes on top. Not sure what the problem is
on your system but have you tried it? If not how are you opening each
applications?

These icons are there in the taskbar for a purpose:

Thank you for your answer
You suppose that there is only one window open.
I Like to keep several windows open ; they are of different sizes and I
can see part of each window. When I click on any part of a window it
comes on top : this does not happen with TB anymore, and Ihave to do
what you suggest and minimize it to the taskbar to be able to see the
other windows.
Usualy, in some applications, there is an option to have the window
"always on top". I wondered if there was such an option in TB so I
could change it.

I Googled and came up with:

<http://tinyurl.com/qfge2oh>

There is a Tbird extension that keeps its window on top:

<https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/always-on-top/reviews/317661/>

Might you have that installed?

No, I do not have this add-on installed.
Thank you for your information. Now I know it exists if I ever want it.
