Yes, and look at the history. Don't hold your breath for it to EVER get
"fixed".

The Address Book is targeted for work for the Tb3.1 future release.
Specifically what features will be worked on, I do not know yet. I have
just gotten back from Minnesota and am trying to get back into harness to
track some of the work the Devs are doing.

I suggest the issue is equally impacted by user demand. I'd bet 50% (+/-
20%) of users have only 1-3 address books and thus have no need for
cross folder search. I think the comments/interest shown in the
relevant bug(s) reflect that. That's little consolation for those of us
that want this, but them's the breaks.

And after waiting so long for an improvement, who knows how many moved
away from TB to something else. I had 12 AB's and just "lived with it".
Using Gmail, those issues are no longer a bother.
I hope this function will come soon. The address books are so
important (to me) to manage contacts and lists. I wonder why it takes
7+ years to solve. Guess this is due to it's open source nature.
Anyway, still love TB!
