Hi All,

Not asking for help here.

I figured this out on one of my customer's site and thought
I would share it with you all as you guys are always helping me
with things.

How to upload a Thunderbird address book to Frontier's web mail:

Problem: Frontier's import utility is expecting Outlook's CSV format
and will leave off eMail addresses from Thunderbird's CSV
files, importing names only. So ...

1) Export your desired Address Book from Thunderbird as a CSV file

2) open the resulting CSV file. Alter the title in row one, column
five ("E") from Thunderbird's "Primary Email" to Outlook's
"E-mail Address"

3) open Frontier's web mail and import from Desktop eMail clients (.csv).

Presumably you would open the .csv and do the title tweak in something
like MS Office's Excel or such as the opensource Office spreadsheet app
Calc.

PMFJI but I have ask how? I am trying to do exactly that and assume
that I need to follow the procedure:

1. Open TB's Address Book
2. Click Tools | Export to open the Export Address Book dialogue
3. Navigate to and open the default profile to find the Address Book is
not displayed (Is the address book the MAB (abook.mab) file I can see in
the profile from Windows Explorer?

I must be missing something! Please advise.

Select an address book to export

No. Here you are being asked to provide a name and location for the
exported file. You have already selected the address book to be exported.

Note the file picker dialog allows you to select LDIF or CSV; it
defaults to LDIF.

Thank you - much appreciated. Even after 20 years I still find it,
occasionally, a luxury to understand computer dialogues.
