I have tried three times to send an e-mail with my resume as an
attachment. Before I hit Send, it always shows the attachment as a 25.5
KB file. But when I look at the Sent file, it always shows a 0-byte
file (with an crossed-out X icon).

I have not changed any settings, as far as I know. What should look for?

TB 38.6.0, Mac OS X 10.10.5 (14F1509)

Does the filename of the attachment include an extension (several
letters to the right of a period)? If so, what is that extension?
Some extensions are restricted.

Are you able to send any other file types as attachments?

The file which gets changed to 0 bytes is .doc.

I'm able to successfully attach .txt, .pdf, .jpg, .gif, and .odf
(NeoOffice) -- just to name the few that I tried.

But I'm not able to successfully send *any* .doc -- which I find very
surprising, since it's a very common format.

Another weirdness is that if I click on a .oo3 file (OmniOutliner,
admittedly not a common format) in the Attach window, rather than
attaching it the window suddenly changes to a completely different
directory.

Can you save and send it as a PDF?

Hi. I was just about to write back that that's exactly what I did do.

Also, the person I sent the original .doc file to said that it *did*
come through. So apparently TB is *sending* it correctly but then just
*saving* it as a 0-byte file. So it's only an irritation, not a disaster.

But it's still a mystery, and I hate mysteries! ;^)

Where is this file you're attaching from? I recently discovered that
attaching a file and then moving that attached file to another location
before sending made my sent copy shows 0 byte attachment. However, this
was in SeaMonkey v2.39 and Windows XP Pro SP3. :/

Doubtful, as doing that will cause the send function itself to fail
altogether.
