I have to open up Thunderbird and write message and then click attach.
I check the send to settings, and found that the open with was set to
unknown application
I changed this to Mozilla Thuderbird but it still won't work.
The settings are:
Mail Recipient Properties
Points to Mozilla Thunderbird
Type of file: MAPIMAIL File
Can anyone suggest anything? I tried to create a new link, but still
does not work.
Thank you
Barry

First of all is TB your "default"?
When you right-click on a file and then "send to" => "mail recipiient",
what happens?

... and if you are not sure you can again set Tb as default mail client
using any of the methods suggested in this article

1. Until now you have not answered the question, if you have set
Thunderbird as your default mail program.
So I cite from the link Nir gave to you:
"In Thunderbird, go to "Tools -> Options -> General" and select "Use
Thunderbird as the default mail application". (In the Mozilla Suite, go
to "Edit -> Preferences -> Mail & Newsgroups" and select "Use Mozilla
Mail as the default mail application".) If that doesn't take effect
right away, try restarting Thunderbird or even the computer once.
If that still doesn't work then another email client (such as Outlook or
Windows Mail) is probably also configured to be the default email
client. If you're running either Windows 2000 (SP3 or later) or Windows
XP (SP1 or later) go to "Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove
Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults [on the left] -> Custom",
and set "Mozilla Thunderbird" as your default e-mail application."
2. If this doesn't help try Start -> Run
regsvr32 sendmail.dll
3. Changing the properties of Mail Recipient from Unknown Application to
Thunderbird was wrong; Unknown Application is surprisingly OK !

1. "In Thunderbird, go to "Tools -> Options -> General" and select "Use
Thunderbird as the default mail application".
This option is not shown.
2. Control Panel -> Add or Remove
Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults [on the left] -> Custom",
and set "Mozilla Thunderbird" as your default e-mail application.
Thunderbird is not listed, but is set to use my current e-mail client.
I ran regsvr32 sendmail.dll
No change
But problem solved, I went to start and properties and found that there
was no email client at all shown, so selected Thunderbird for the list
and it fixed the problem. Not sure why there was nothing selected!
Thank you all for your help
Thank you
