I desperately try to buy a flight ticket and stumble upon the apparently
well-known bug "secure connection failed" :

voyages.anyway.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate expired on 04/10/2008 01:59.
(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)
* This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or
it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.

* If you have connected to this server successfully in the past,
the error may be temporary, and you can try again later.
Or you can add an exception…

This happened when I got back from a link in a mail sent by the website
to get a new password. So, the link should be ok.

Then I tried the remedy recommended at
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=990145&p=5389855I

I changed the certificate authority GlobalSign Extended Validation CA to
"This certificate can identify web sites."

I stopped the quick start, restarted FF 3, same error.

Should I change the preferences of another certificate authority ? If,
which one ?

any better ideas ?

Who said that the internet is a productivity tool ?

Have you tried to bypass the warning using this method
"http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Secure+Connection+Failed#Bypassing_the_warning"

Btw, you should verify the certificate first before adding it as an
exception.

As it is a Firefox related problem so setting follow-up to
mozilla.support.firefox Newsgroup.
