Login to account "Pete....@BTInternet.com" failed
Login to server mail.btinternet.com with username Pete.Hepple failed.
Retry Enter new Password Cancel

Get this message (nearly) every time I start Thunderbird.
Have checked settings - seem OK
Some years ago I changed (reluctantly) to GMail with another client, but wanted to get back to TB and so recently I have - as yet just a backup.

ThunderBird 600.0 (32-bit)
Windows 10 - fully updated.

You'll notice that this eMail address is not the one I'm asking about, because I may not get it!

This page, https://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/44917/~/what-are-the-settings-for-outgoing-and-incoming-bt-email-servers%3F, has the correct mail server settings for the BTInternet service.

If you go through the settings and make sure that your account settings in Thunderbird match this then all should be well.
