I tried to email a page using MS OneNote for Mac and received an error
message stating that either Apple Mail or MS Outlook need to be set as
my default email client in order to do this. Anyone having this problem
on the Windows operating system?

I'm assuming one of these 2 clients is set as default?

No Thunderbird is the default email client.

My default client is (believe it or not) Lotus Notes on Windows 11 and
one-note happily opens a Lotus Notes email when requested to send a page
by email.

Your default client needs to be Thunderbird and you need MS OneNote. Do
you have that?

On Mac, I think Microsoft hard-codes these integrations in Office. They
need to add support for Thunderbird.

They may not given OneNote for Mac may not see any further development
and neither will Thunderbird.

Here it works just fine: Windows 10, OneNote 2013, TB 52.8.0

It must be a Mac issue either with TB or the mac version of OneNote.
