Hi All:

Using TB 2.0.0.23:
I just changed an email address...entered a new one, deleted the old
one, closed TB but when I reopened to send mail to the recipient the old
address I had just deleted was still present as well as the new one I
had entered.

How can I get rid of the old address?

Thanks,
Don

open the address book and delete the entry.

If you have multiple address book then make it sure that address entry
doesn't exist in any of those Address books.

Sorry, I forgot to add that I'd done that and it didn't work.

Thanks Nir,

I only have one address book, deleted all the others. I've looked in
TB's Application Data and don't find an entry for "Address Book". Where
might it be?

I believe you meant you had a contact in one of your address book. you
deleted deleted before creating a new one for the same person/recipient.
Right?

You can easily find the address book where that old contact entry
resides in following ways:

1. Use 'Search Addresses' functionality ( Edit > Search > Search
Addresses ) to search in each address books for that old entry.

2. Goto Tools > Options > Advanced > general > Config Editor. Right
click and select New > Integer.
Name of the preference :
mail.autoComplete.commentColumn
Value:
2
Restart Tb. Open compose window and start typing that old address entry
in To bar. Tb will show the name of address book in the Type down window.
