I am trying to send a web page in the body of an email. It is one of my
own webpages so I know it is functioning. When I insert html the links
dont work and the images don't show. When I attach it it shows the
webpage in the body but the images are not displaying. what is the
method of doing this?

sorry if parallel, I may not got the point, but worth a try:
1. if this is about pasting some html in a message, the paths may be a
problem. To test, (in compose) dbclick a missing image and look for the
right settings in image properties (for local, just browse -needs
absolute c:/x/x/ path!, for remote, as probably you ask for, -the last
tab- 'link' should do). Html in emails is not quite same as you get a
local copy, the links and paths are to be with (http.//lala/lulu/etc)..
not relative (img/jjj.jpg), witch normally do on a site.

2. could just be that your tb does not dysplay remote images in a
message (by default)? don't thik so, but if this, a warning should
appear above the header of the message (recieved) with options to allow
remote images etc
setting in 'options/advanced/general tab/about:config' and type 'remote'
for mailnews.message_display.disable_remote_image change value to false..
but links should work.. hm..

Instead of abusing bandwidth and consuming disc space, just send the URL
of the Web page.

Go to Mozdev at <http://www.mozdev.org/> for quick access to
extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and other
Mozilla-related applications. You can access Mozdev much
more quickly than you can Mozilla Add-Ons.
