Does this happen when you are typing in e-mail addresses in To:, Cc: or Bcc:
field?
If so, then you are hitting this very slow completion problem in the latest
release.
I notice the delay is causing mistyping of the address EVEN THOUGH I DO NOT
USE LDAP, and so
coupled with LDAP lookup the slowdown is causing you the problem.
I posted a message regarding the obvious slowdown with the subject
"Slow (?) completion in address field when an e-mail is created."
to mozilla.dev.apps.thunderbird newsgroup on Sept 26 and it
was pointed out there exists the following bugzilla entry:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1012397
So people are aware of the issue, but I am not sure how this is going to be
played out.
You might want to chime in stating the issue you observe as LDAP user.
