I have 5 email accounts. I use the unified folders view so things get combined.
I keep all the folders like Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Junk, and Trash all collapsed. In all of them I'm able to see the
unified list of items, and can manipulate any of them as a group. EXCEPT Junk. When junk is in any account the
unified version does not show any items. I have to individually expand the Junk and look at each subfolder.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? A bug?

It is a bug, I don't know the number.
The unified folders are actually saved searches, you can right click
them, choose properties. and then choose from what folders messages are
to be displayed. Sometimes it doesn't work the way it should, possibly
because you started using Unified Folders when you still had only one
account configured. The Junk and/or Trash folders become "real" folders.
What you have to do is close Thunderbird, go to your profile folder and
delete Junk, Junk.msf, Trash and Trash.msf from the "smart mailboxes"
folder. Restart Thunderbird and everything should be alright, the Junk
and Trash folders are automatically recreated.

Thanks. I saw now folders checked, so maybe it's just that simple. I just need to wait now for junk. I don't get a
lot, 2-3 a month worst case. I guess I'm part of the lucky bunch.
