In Kmail I create a Mail folder in mbox format. I copy my Inbox into
that folder (61 emails, all marked as read). I then copy the new mbox
format file into my Thunderbird profile. Fire up Thunderbird, TBird sees
the file BUT only reports 25 messages in total, and shows 4 as unread!.
What's going on? The file is exactly the same size in TBird as it is in
Kmail.
Can anyone explain this odd behaviour, and tell me if there is anyway
round this?

More info - it appears that TBird is not "seeing" any emails in the
KMail MBox file that have attachments.....

Thanks - been there. The problem is not getting the files into TBird,
the problem is that TBird doesn't see all of the file. And I've just
ascertained that it is NOT a TBird problem but a KMail problem as
Evolution does exactly the same thing.

EVERYTHING HAS A GENDER

You may not know this but many nonliving things have a gender...

Copiers are Female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm
them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right
buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed.
